We told you HERE in November 2018 that Dr. Phillips Charities had received a major gift that would allow for the construction of a brand new YMCA facility in their OBT-based Packing District development.
This will be the 23rd YMCA location in Central Florida, and the team that’s been selected to build the new 27,000 SF family center include:
- General contractors, Brasfield and Gorrie
- Engineers, GAI Consultants
- Architects, RLF
The two-story project was made possible by an $8.9 million grant from Dr. Phillips Charities and is expected to break ground in late 2019/early 2020, with a grand opening scheduled for early 2021.
