Rollins College has received a $3 million grant from trustee Philip Tiedtke via the Florida Charities Foundation to fund a new theater and dance facility on its Winter Park campus.
The new building will be erected where the Fred Stone theater once stood, but extend closer to Holt Avenue. Annie Russell, the larger theater building located across the street from this site, will not be affected by this development.
Rollins College demolished its historic Fred Stone Theatre building in 2018 when it was found to be structurally unsound and deemed unfit for use.
A project timeline has not been made public at this time.
