Chef AJ Haines, the owner of The Hen and Hog (Facebook), a restaurant we recently featured on our weekly radio show, “Bungalower and The Bus” on Real Radio 104.1 FM, needs your help.
Chef Haines underwent some major surgeries in the past week after a sudden onset of diverticulitis. The illness forced Haines to close his restaurant for the past week in order to undergo surgery, with the first being canceled due to an infection.
According to a Go Fund Me that was launched to help Haines and his team with any sudden expenses and the sudden temporary closure of this Winter Park restaurant, the surgery was more invasive than expected and he will have a more intense road to recovery than early expected.
The restaurant will remain closed for the time being.
