KOS (Facebook Website) has announced that it will be closing its Winter Park coffee shop.

KOS, which is short for the Norwegian word “Koselig,” opened in May 2021 on Fairbanks across from Rollins College at 129 W. Fairbanks Avenue [GMap].

KOS’s business model includes only offering goods that were linked to organizations that support community development, education, and neighborhood revitalization abroad and at home, including Lift Orlando, New Image Youth Center, and Support Our Scholars.

They also donate 10% of their profits to charity.

KOS shared that they would not be renewing their lease on Tuesday, July 25, via their social platforms, citing the downfalls of their cozy but very small storefront and the increasing costs of operating a business in 2023.

Their last day of business in Winter Park will be Friday, July 28. They will continue to operate a location in Maitland.
