- Someone really messed up and scheduled an accidental Emergency Alert last week that went out at 4:45 a.m. According to a follow-up by Orlando Weekly editor, Jessica Bryce Young, the governor called for “swift accountability” after the incident and the state is now looking for a new contractor to run the emergency alert system.
- Brightline unveiled its new terminal at the Orlando International Airport last week and we were there to snap a fun video of everything we saw. Tickets go on sale next month and passengers are expected to be able to take the higher-speed trains in the next couple of months.
- The Orlando Museum of Art just appointed a new interim executive director and according to her resume, things are looking up for the embattled institution.
- Grills Seafood jumped on the populist train last week and dumped Bud Light from the menus at its various locations. The owner is pointing his finger at the company’s support of “something that is in direct opposition to our Biblical faith,” saying, “Our decision was made with many tears for this circumstance and what we see as corporate greed and a deeper spiritual reality coming upon this world.”
