  1. Dr. Phillips Center just released renderings of an ambitious Phase 3 buildout of its new Front Yard performance space. It comes with an estimated price tag of $175 million, $145 million of which it hopes to get from the Tourist Development Tax coffers.
  2. A new e-sports/arcade venue is opening in downtown Orlando’s Sanctuary building and it’s going to be massive. 
  3. Downtown dog bar, Pups Pub, just won a case against the Florida Health Department, which tried to shut them down for allowing dogs inside their venue. 
  4. Another one bites the dust … downtown Country bar, Saddle Up, just announced that it will be closing up shop after 10 years
  5. Cholo Dogs, the Mexican hot dog concept, has taken over the formerly vegan kitchen at Persimmon Hollow Brewing by Lake Eola. Don’t worry, it won’t just be hot dogs.
  6. Local restaurateur, Thomas Ward of Pigzza and Pig Floyd’s took to social media to let his diners know that he was paying attention to the online comments, that he had the receipts, and that he was making some changes to his menu. 
  7. F&D Woodfired Kitchen has reopened in its new home in the Hourglass District in Curry Ford West Main Street.
